You are not alone

  • We are living in a time with multiple sources of stress and trauma. There are increasing demands for our time, intense pressure to be productive, individual and collective grief, and the trauma of societal oppression.
  • Being compassionate to yourself and others, taking the time to rest, reflect, resist, and reach out is so important.
  • While there are lots of different ways to get help, psychotherapy has been shown to be an effective mental health treatment.
  • Change is possible, both for yourself, and to make the world a better place.

Here are some of my areas of specialization>>>>

Single pink daisy against green grass.
01. eating disorders and body dysphoria

I am one of the few licensed psychologists in Lincoln who has specialized training and experience in eating disorders treatment. My genuine approach is both humanistic and client-centered, and I use different therapeutic strategies such as cognitive behavioral techniques as needed.

Diagnoses and presenting problems I treat include: anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, body image concerns, weight and shape control behavior, avoidant restrictive food intake disorder, over-exercising, and emotional eating.

02. depression and mood disorders

I use an individualized approach with behavioral strategies. My approach is to provide client-centered, empowerment-based depression counseling. One of the goals for treating depression is for clients to expand their coping skills. I have extensive experience treating people with depression and bipolar disorder.

03. general practice

I help clients with a broad array of concerns and presenting problems, including anxiety, OCD, ADHD, assertiveness, self-esteem, stress management, adjusting to change, relationship problems, (i.e., friendship, romantic, or family) and perfectionism.
